If I remember correctly, this was not a bracket race; it was a time shot. Meaning the Neon really is outrunning the Volare Gasser by that much.

Another member of the racing D'Alonzo family from Long Island is Brian (his brother Dominick was shown on page 3 with the '63 Impala). Brian won the B1 class at last year's event and runnered-up this year.
