A
few of Englishtown's Jr. Dragster racers were on hand
showing the crowd what they're all about. |

Stock
Eliminator, Round 3: Bob Bielaszka in the near lane had
a nice .035 light when he left first with an 11.06 dial,
but Victor Cagnazzi was steller over there in the far
lane with a great .014 light on the chasing 9.69 dial.
Cagnazzi tightened it up and put a grill emblem on Bielaszka
for the win. |
Russell
Linke over there in the C/SA Camaro comes up .061 on the
'Tree when he leaves first with a 10.66 dial against Jonathan
Allegrucci's 9.04 dial. Even though Linke goes dead-zero,
Allegrucci kind of had this in the bag with an .027 light,
except he takes too much stripe and breaks out. |
|
Look
at the difference in stance between the two Firebirds.
J. Wayne Totaro in the 2000 B/S has the nose down at mid-track
while Randi Lyn Shipp's nose on the '67 C/SA is way up,
probably because Shipp is running a tenth off the dial
and Totaro was running the number so he had room to play
early. Totaro for the win. |

Here's
a good race between Eugene Monahan over here and Joe Lisa
over there. Monahan dials 12.05 and leaves first in the
K/SA Firebird with a monster .003 light. Joe Lisa dials
10.82 and has a great .015 light in the E/SA Camaro. Monahan
breaks out by .018; Lisa breaks out by .002 for the win. |
In
the batttle of Team Portatree, Allison Smyth dials 10.19
and fouls out with a -.002 in the '98 Firebird, handing
brother Stephen Smyth the win with his .112 light / two-over
9.63 pass. |

|
|
Ed
Bednaz in the far lane turned on the wrong light at the
start against Peter Biondo in the near lane, who turns
on the right light at the end.
|
In
a race to not leave the starting line in a timely fashion,
Eddie Brooks in the near-lane F/SG Mustang comes up with
an .072 light and actually wins the 'Tree against the
.084 of Scott Goshert in the E/SA Duster. Brooks turns
it into a win at the stripe as Goshert breaks out by .03. |
|
|
|
Dan
Fletcher, all alone at the stripe for the win as his opponent
went red and lifted. |
Joe
DeMarzo closes out the third round of Stock with a bye
run. |
