Welcome
to our coverage from the 2016 Performance Racing Industry
Show, held December 8 - 10, 2016 at the Indiana Convention
Center in Indianapolis, IN.
This
show was bigger and busier than last year's show, which
was bigger and busier than the year before. Just when you
think the last show was the biggest, along comes this year's
show to eclipse it! The PRI Show management always does
a great job in providing loads of extra value to its exhibitors
and attendees, whether from the WiFi throughout the show
floor, to the Grand Opening breakfast, to the Happy Hour.
All of these were provided free of charge by PRI. The show
management also provided free sandwiches, soda and beer
to the exhibitors who were setting up their booths on Wednesday.
What a great touch.
We
have tons of products to present here so we hope you'll
take your time with this coverage. We'll start off with
Wednesday, December 7th and the various industry seminars
that take place on the day before the show opens. |
Getting
There is Half The Fun! |
|
|
|
|
With
the amount of gear I bring (marketing materials, cameras,
lenses, laptop, etc), driving is really the only option.
The drive from New Jersey to Indianapolis is not too bad,
and if I'm feeling a little tired on the road I can always
make a stop to buy some fireworks. Setting off bottle rockets
and roman candles in the car will wake me right up.

Hot
Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge |
|
|
|
|
One
of the coolest events at PRI is the Hot Rodders
of Tomorrow Engine Challenge, which resembles the
tear down between rounds at a drag race. The contestants
are teams of high-school students who must disassemble and
reassemble an engine in front of judges and spectators.
The engines are identically prepared small block Chevys
complete with all the goodies. Learn more at www.hotroddersoftomorrow.com.
