Now
let's take a look at a Super Gas car. This is the Corvette
of Ken Bowers. |
Rear
tire size is limited only by the opening in your wallet.
|
|
|
|
Even
though Super Gas "only" runs 9.90 and hit the
throttle stop almost immediately, these cars leave hard
and will use the wheelie bars. |
Hood
scoops are allowed in Super Gas, as opposed to Stock and
(most) Super Stock, which must use factory scoops that are
correct for the vehicle. |
Any
kind of dash that fits is permitted. Doesn't have to be
factory-style.
|
|
|
|
The
single-seat open top roadster is probably the body style
of choice in Super Gas. |
Super
Gas will use as short a front tire as possible in order
to help reaction time. These are relatively heavy cars that
need to react to a .400 Pro tree (actually .370 at national
and dvisional events). |

Want
to run Super gas (or Comp or Street)? You'll need a throttle
stop. |
